I had to walk by this ship and resist the urge to hold up my group to assemble my tripod and camera so I had to run back the next morning and grab it then! – It was pretty fortunate though since there were no clouds the day before

Stephen your HDR images are getting more intense by the day. I love this shot but I think I could have been better if you were closer. I’m taking it you couldn’t get any closer without getting arrested.
Hi Kimo, I was on a hill that led down towards the docks, there was just a big drop in front of where I was standing! I was able to walk down (there were no restrictions) but I felt I was too close to the ship and I felt the gates / railing would have been too imposing in the shot
Beautiful colors! I actually think it looks better far away because you get all the other stuff, including the wonderful clouds. At first it seems a little over saturated, but the more I look at it, the more I like it.

The red is over-saturated – I could have de-saturated it I guess, I just wasn’t thinking at the time!
