This fearsome fellow would not turn around and smile for the camera unfortuantely; although I probably wouldn’t either if I was locked up in a cage being gawked at by a group of apes.

I like the look of the tiger! Have you tried or considered some desaturation in the grass + subtle vignetting to draw the viewers eye to the tiger? My eyes seem to wander all over due to the saturation of the grass.
I am 100% checking out the zoo this summer!

Scott, thank’s for the suggestion, I’ve desaturated the grass and saturated the tiger a little – you’re right it does draw you into the tiger more
Vigneting will have to wait though, I’m packing for a trip to Malta
