I had planned to post some night time photography shots I took earlier today but they turned out terrible (It was my first shot at shooting in the dark), so instead I’m posting an image of an everyday object, with a difference. By fiddling with the manual settings on my camera (exposure compensation, ISO sensitivity etc) you can create some very vivid imagery. During postprocessing in Photoshop I underexposed it by 4EV and it turned out as you see below. I think it looks pretty awesome. Can you guess what it is?
- Aperture: f/3.8
- Shutter Speed: 1/15s
- ISO: 3200
- Lens: 18-200@22mm
- Exposure Compensation +5EV

I just wanted to say I like your blog, I think it looks great.
Damn, this is a very nice shot!
By the way: I wanted to thank you for the EC credits! I really appreciate it!
Thanks very much Alson,
no problem BioTeck, I’ve decided to part with Entrecard but have over 5000 points so giving them away seems like the best option to get rid of them!
Nice blog, I will check back again for updates.
Hi Tim, I’ve not updated in a long time unfortunately as I’ve had many unexpected things happen recently, I will be getting back into some posting rhythm shortly though. Check back soon.
